3 choices that will change your life!
Let’s get right down to the point, in my expereince, there are three daily choices that we all make everyday that will determine your happiness and success……..drumroll please….they are:
1) The words we use
2) The people we spend time with
3) The thoughts we think
That’s it, words, people and thoughts.
Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? Well let’s take a closer look at the three.
I just returned home after a few days on the road and experienced some great, and not so great examples of all three choices.
Words
Great example: A passenger on one of my flights thanking the entire crew for a job well before leaving the plane, and simply saying, “ thank you” (and meaning it)
Not so good: A man criticizing his wife for always being late, unorganized, and get this…causing him to be in a bad mood.
Words feed, inspire or hurt, choose your words carefully.
People
Great example: My good friend Nic surrounds herself with positive, supportive people that feed her spirit everyday. Everytime that we hang out together she runs into people that she knows, and they always have a big smile and hug for her.
Not so good: I call them the “Isn’t Life Awful” club. You know who I am talking about, the hang out and complaining about how terrible everything is, and how tough life is……….when you see or hear one of these people….run as fast as you can.
Thoughts
Not so good: Well I cut my hand up pretty good washing a wine glass last week. My first thought was: “I’m such a clutz, how could I have been so careless, what a stupid thing to do.”
Better: “It’s no big deal, I had a great day today don’t let this little thing get in the way.”
So the key to your daily success…..choose your words, the people you spend time with and your thoughts were carefully.
All three should feed you, and others, everyday!
